Question New Training Ground plans?

I drove past this morning and there appeared to be quite a bit of work going on
That's good, I was concerned that maybe funds to move there wouldn't be forthcoming until takeover completes, which at this rate could be too late to get the new facility up to scratch in time for start of next season training.

As I had to go down the tip I took a detour. Major work. Loads of machines and piles of topsoil and sand standing by. Looks like they are stripping and relaying the hybrid pitch and possibly also the pitch next to it. It did occur to me whether they will relay Roots Hall with a hybrid which was the plan for Fossets Farm and whether as this is major work whether they would take the opportunity to lower the pitch as let's face it the view is rubbish. It also made me wonder about the vast area for match day parking. What are the plans for this. Anyway, all good. Very encouraging.

The surface of the main training pitch has been removed and an excavator is digging holes, I guess for utilities.

Operation get the training ground ready for pre-season, is certainly underway.
I think the utilities were already laid prior to the seeding. just nothing was ever connected to the mains

Unbelievable that those pitches were already done once and are now having to be done a second time.
Wouldn't they get re done each summer like the stadium pitch especially as they would be used an awful lot more during the season? Good to see them getting it ready for next season though.

Have they fixed the electricity and water issues? Waste of time otherwise

Work to the Club’s new training ground has been undertaken by White Horse Contractors over the past week in preparation for the 2024/25 season.

The works, in anticipation of the move from Boots & Laces to Fossetts Park, saw the specialist sports pitch contractors on-site to reconstruct Pitch 1 and Pitch 2, and begin the process of delivering the high-performance surfaces ready for the start of pre-season training in late June.

I don't think so BL never had that kind of work it was just correctly maintained, unlike the new Training ground where is was all left to die. The League pitch of course is a different matter.
