Nile Ranger

Happy for him. He is 33 now could have another 3 years left in the game. He just needs to get his head down this season bang in the goals and hopefully get a move to a NL club and skip the NN league. Then who knows.

He has had more lives than the average cat.I wonder if he has really learnt anything from his chaotic lifestyle.Clearly he has got talent to play the game but we dont really know what he will get upto next.I really hope that he gives Kettering owner and fans the faith they have put into him, only time will tell.
The average cat has 9 lives. Nike has been in trouble 5 times with football clubs. So he hasn’t had more lives than the average cat. Even if he was in trouble 9 times they still isn’t more than the average cat. Please may you retract your statement on the cat lives situation. Thank you

Who’s Nike played for ?

I trust Zoners have seen this? It's us and it's not, as you will see.
Here's a taster: "I still feel there is one big move left in me. I'm going to roll the dice one more time."
He's playing in this round of the Cup.

The self-serving interview with the BBC is hard to stomach.
There's a bit when he and his gang were stealing phones when he says 'we didn't want to hurt people; we just wanted to take their phones from them. I don't know why (a mate) carried a knife..."
I'm just amazed that despite a fearful CV he still gets a club.
Kettering must be more desperate than us.

He got up to a lot more at Southend than was made public. He never grew out of the gangsta culture. He was given so many chances and warnings that was kept in house. Lateness for training and falling asleep were just a bi product of his late night and all night parties in London. There is a immature brain problem there that made him keep doing things to his own detriment. He's said himself that he can't believe the things he does, and how stupid he's been.

We can all change, it takes a huge shift of mindset and learning from past mistakes
Some ex Shrimpers have certainly turned the corner and changed their lives for the better after encountering the law

Would have liked to see some of that 'change' in his BBC interview.
Towards the end of a litany that includes armed robbery; fraud; stealing from team-mates, heard that one before? gambling addiction; drunk and disorderly, he talks about making "silly decisions."
That said, loved this cloying platitude even less: "We're all on this journey in life together and we all make mistakes," says Kettering chairman George Akhtar. Yeah, lots of them, George: again and again.
I hope I'm not in the same carriage as Nile on his 'journey'.
