If we cannot get anyone fixed up - and if they cannot get clubs, dont see the harm in signing Cherno Samba and Ed Upson on non-contract terms, at least so we can run the rule over them a bit further?

Depends if their clubs would release them I imagine, but if Upson is being released at the end of the season, I cannot see the harm in Ipswich cutting him loose now?

I agree, at least sign them until the end of the season and then make a final decision.
