Early start but as I'm now off work for a while there's a limited chance of me being up for the start!!

Barmy Batters v ShrimperZone CC

Former OD champions but they relegated after stripping out all the high earners. Fortunately for me they've had another clearout this week with 5 players leaving today and not being replaced so far (and I've checked the TL and there's only one decent player on the list between now and 10:30!!).

So I've decided against the GFI despite being out of the cup in the hope of having a fully sublime squad for FC next week. They now only have two players over 100k so hopefully we can get our first win of the season.

Geoff_Boycotts_Grandmother XI v BATTY SHRIMPERS

SZ Derby today as we look to maintain our 100% OD record. PFL looking quite good, 4 at Energetic, everyone else Sublime, and we've agreed a Mutual TIE, so I would expect to have a fully fit squad going into next week's FC game.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

DIBS DIPPERS v Eboracum Legionnaires

6th placed Mrs BB takes on the side in 3rd. Mrs BB looks to have the edge on ratings, and has a reasonably fit side, so GFI for her.

Seaside Special v Southend

Desperately need a win as I've lost 2 from 2 so far. Picked up the rabbit early but my openers are again getting smashed around the park.

End of Over 7: 58-1, runrate=8.29
Sipho 4-0-32-0
Brush* 30 (22 balls)
Prasad 26 (13 balls)
Last Wicket: Camilleri b. Rennie 2 (FOW: 11/1)

Batty Boys v Southend United
Welcome to The Batty Bowl for the match between Batty Boys and Southend United.

We can tell you that Southend United won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking a touch on the green side. All the seam bowlers have been out there rubbing their hands on this sunny day.

End of Over 12: 47-1, runrate=3.92
Gichki 1-0-4-0
Waqar* 13 (23 balls)
Charlemagne 25 (37 balls)
Last Wicket: Murphy c. Walker b. Lake 8 (FOW: 13/1)

My quicker bowlers didn't really make any inroads in the bowling conditions so it looks like it will be down to the spinners to try to keep the run rate down.

End of Over 12: 40-1, runrate=3.33
Benjamin 1-0-3-0
Ricketts* 18 (15 balls)
Nethercott 13 (36 balls)

Last Wicket: Rennie lbw b. Barrowdale 5 (FOW: 19/1)

Slow progress by GBG this morning.

Good R/R for Mrs BB but she's lost a couple early on.

DIBS DIPPERS v Eboracum Legionnaires

Eboracum Legionnaires won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Dusty

End of Over 12: 61-2, runrate=5.08
Kumar 1-0-9-0
Potter* 22 (19 balls)
Hutton 31 (35 balls)

Last Wicket: Gowland c. Lunt b. Bean 0 (FOW: 24/2)

Anyone fancy explaining this one to me? Green pitch, partially cloudy conditions, good PFL (mostly sublime/energetic, one invig) and this score so far...

End of Over 22: 158-1, runrate=7.18
Granville 1-0-11-0
Brush* 79 (64 balls)
Prasad 75 (62 balls)
Last Wicket: Camilleri b. Rennie 2 (FOW: 11/1)

I've got the exact opposite, GBG absoutely crawling along.

Geoff_Boycotts_Grandmother XI v BATTY SHRIMPERS

Geoff_Boycotts_Grandmother XI won the toss and elected to bat.
Pitch: Green

End of Over 25: 68-0, runrate=2.72

Mrs BB just stuttering a little bit.

Johnson 3-0-15-0
Morgan* 5 (9 balls)
Potter 44 (59 balls)

Last Wicket: Hutton lbw b. Kumar 54 (FOW: 99/3)

Still not making any real inroads, could be a tough target to chase.

End of Over 33: 122-2, runrate=3.70
Marriott 10-1-45-0
Ricketts* 61 (61 balls)
Woods 31 (61 balls)

Last Wicket: Nethercott c. Graham b. Benjamin 18 (FOW: 59/2)

Yikes.

End of Over 50: 294-4, runrate=5.88
Sipho 10-0-81-0
Johnson* 11 (11 balls)
Barnard 78 (69 balls)
Last Wicket: Mcclory b. Rennie 2 (FOW: 238/4)

Poor effort all in all. One player did the job for them, I need a single uber batsman! Watch mine tumble.....

End of Over 50: 226-4, runrate=4.52
Digana 10-1-43-0
Stamp* 15 (20 balls)
Ricketts 117 (109 balls)

Last Wicket: Bullivant c. Lamey b. Graham 0 (FOW: 187/4)

YB picked up a bit towards the end, but I'd have taken this at the start.

Geoff_Boycotts_Grandmother XI v BATTY SHRIMPERS

Mrs BB up against it.

Mackin 4-0-21-0
Fitzhenry* 17 (22 balls)
Dunne 22 (26 balls)

Ok, their bowling looks considerably weaker than their batting!! Must have been all the bowlers they sold!!

End of Over 6: 51-0, runrate=8.50, reqrunrate=4.00 (226-4)
Shakes 3-0-27-0
Cunningham* 28 (19 balls)
Sinethemba 23 (17 balls)

Setting Lamb to bowl when GFI'ing isn't a great idea although he did go for just 82 runs! So far i've fallen short chasing a 300 and 275 total. It doesn't bode well...

End of Over 15: 81-1, runrate=5.40, reqrunrate=7.14 (330-4)
Xingwana 1-0-8-0
Zamora* 28 (36 balls)
Sookram 50 (39 balls)

Sinethemba* 70 (62 balls)

Toulson 3-0-17-0
Tsietsi* 59 (79 balls)
