Of the DVD Player Kind

I'm sat here, watching 25 season 5, and I've noticed that on nearly all the disks after the 2nd or 3rd, there's been a slight jittering of the playback. I can't be certain that it's the DVD player (butterfingers), but the disks can't be too badly damaged and I only got the set about a day, maybe 2 days, ago.

I've had the player on the go pretty much non-stop lately, can that affect it?

Any ideas?

Doubt it. I'd give the DVD's a damn good polish.

I'll do that next time then. Been cursed with dodgy disks lately, my Spider-Man 3 disks got major jitters on the menus.

Maybe it's the laser on the DVD rather than the discs themselves?

OK, can you explain that in non-technical terms?

It's not really affecting playback (nothing's out of sync, and it's not stopping the playback), it's just really annoying.

Erm.... well the DVD player uses a laser to read the DVD's, so perhaps there's some crap on the lens of the laser?

Use one of these to give the lens a good buff up?

Had that problem with my PS2 a few years back
