Don’t deserve to be going in at half time losing, but probably don’t deserve to be going in winning either. We’re desperate for a striker with a bit of movement and pace. Powell has that, but can’t finish a packet of crisps. Really like Cardwell and Sandat but think they’re a bit similar.

Everyone including Andeng 'Endy' was slow in seeing the danger.
Our keeper does like to hit it against legs, doesn't he? Oldham or Lopata - those moments are costly.
GSM doesn't seem quite as on it as normal: more angle on the foot and we would have been 1-0 ahead instead of the same score down.

It’s the Southend Nil disease- how do we get rid of it, even when we change the players it continues season to season..Halifax beating Bromley and we are desperately trying to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory…

The fact that in the final second of added time we pass it back to the half way line for the referee to blow the HT whistle instead of just getting in the box sums it up.

Not to take blame off Colin, but who was it who ran in behind as the ball was trickling towards the goal? He was there in time, I'm amazed he didn't manage to stop it. Embarassing stuff all round.

Plenty of possession but next to no cutting edge. Very sideways and backwards. We just don’t have the quality to unlock defences on the regular. Nobody with an eye for a defence splitting pass. But that’s no fault of the management.
