I've few recollections of the games below, having not been at 'Udders a couple of years back, i'm pretty sure the Sheffield United one would've been the one of my first exposures to crowd trouble, was this the game where Sheff invaded the pitch and a few of ours did likewise? if legend tells it right Ginger took at least a dozen Northern lads down by himself .. Aldershot i was at for certain, and came 3 days after David Crown had scored the greatest ever Blues goal, the Godlike Crown was to score the winner that day, taking us out the dropzone for the first time since September and the 2-6 capitulation at Notts County that'd put us there and was to be the springboard for us to escape relegation on the last day (we went down a year later mind :sad:)

The crowd trouble which you are referring too when Ginger jumped out of the North Bank and went all Pop-Eye, was against Bolton. He punched them back in the centre-circle as they ran towards him. It was the opening day of a Third Division season against the Trotters, who had just come up. We won 2-0 and Danny O'Shea hit a pearler!

I remember that Blackpool game too. McDonough scored an overhead kick - pure magic under the Roots Hall floodlights.
