Power bank for laptop

Supershrimper

First XI⭐⭐
Is there such a thing?

Reason I ask is I'm on the coach to Rochdale but I'm also working. Usually would be plugged in working at home but will be using my hotspot on my phone to allow me to work on the go.

My main concern is tunning out of battery whilst I've still got work left.

I went into curry's but the 2 people I spoke in there looked bemused and said I'd be best checking on Amazon.

Wondered if anyone has any experience of a laptop power bank. The laptop in question is a Dell Latitude 5430.

Ask Chris Philips .... he uses it on the go all the time.

Check if the coaches have power points

They do but only USB. Not sure it chucks out the required power to charge a laptop. Good for charging a phone
I've got one of these but I only really use it for charging my phone - it will power my laptop as well (in the amazon description also says will power macs)- but not sure how long for. I guess the key is the output wattage to see if it will power your laptop, e.g., 30W, and then the capacity in mAh to see how long it will power for (or how many charges) for your laptop - so I'd compare your laptop battery capacity to the capacity of the powerbank. Hopefully someone else might post with better experience of using laptop on the go! NB - if ordering from Amazon, I'd try and avoid the unknown electrical brands.

Just looked online at the spec of your laptop and you will need a power bank that can output 65W. I'd recommend a bank with at least 20,000 mAh for a laptop, which should provide 1.5-2 full charges. Something like this >> https://www.amazon.co.uk/Anker-Port...k&qid=1747057492&sprefix=65w+p,aps,104&sr=8-3 (please make sure you order from a known brand if ordering off amazon, and do not order batteries significantly bigger than 25,000 mAh in a portable form factor as they can be unsafe.)

That's the exact one I ordered from Amazon on Saturday (And I ordered when it was £35.99) Arrived today and tested and it works. Charges my laptop. It did say there was a new version but for almost double the price I passed on that.

Will pop my laptop into battery saving mode as whilst new to me I dare say the laptop has been around a bit before I got my hands on it at work.

Will ensure I have a fully charged laptop, a full charged battery pack, and fully charged phone.
