Agree. Really mature performance. Thought Stones and Mings looked solid too. Pickford worries me sometimes. But hey, we have to take those 3 points and bank ‘em! Wasn’t pretty but who cares.
So if slabhead Maguire is fit for next Friday, who, of those two would you replace? I'd out Stones as he terrifies me when he tries to play his way out of an oppo attack.

Good result. Phillips obviously MOTM. I thought Kane was very subdued throughout.

Decent enough display for the first game.

First 20 minutes we were awesome but then they adapted to the movement of Sterling, Mount and Foden.

First time we've ever won the opening game of the Euro's which is all that matters. Plenty of decent performances before that have ended in defeat.

I’d start Stones and Mings as Maguire will need easing back in. If we get a draw/win against Scotland I might use Maguire in the last game.

No one good enough to thread a pass to him so he finished up running around like a bloody headless chicken! Didnt think much of Foden also after all the hype.

Patience chaps, next up are the Jocks and if we win that one the confidence will flow in the side.

Hopefully we'll be able to up the intensity against the Jocks and we'll see Grealish, next game is an evening kick-off, clearly we couldn't maintain any type of intense pressing in that daytime heat today, which is what allowed Croatia spells on the ball.

Why were people complaining about Trippier being selected instead of players "on form"? He was a key part of the Atletico Madrid squad that won La Liga, how is that not on form?
Think it was more he was selected at left back, with Walker at right back. Isn’t Trippier a right back? Thought Reece James and Ben Chilwell were unlucky to miss out personally.

Trippier far better than Walker. Have to say Croatia were absolute guff. Would think Scotland would fancy their chances against them.

walking football would have been an improvement!

Indeed.I see normal service was resumed by Ingerland last night! Normally I'd say a point would have been good enough but now the next game (performance and result) is likely to be a guide as to how far we can progresss in the Euros. At least Scotland are likely to still finish bottom of the group.
