Pre season tour

I am guessing they were somewhat preoccupied with Wembley, especially with the ticker fiasco

There is only so much they can do in the time available and I would argue getting Wembley sorted was more important than having a small amount of shrimpers join a tour in Spain

There is only so much they can do in the time available and I would argue getting Wembley sorted was more important than having a small amount of shrimpers join a tour in Spain

They should have got this sorted before we had even qualified for the playoffs.

We all knew that Maher would want them to go somewhere. I asked the question back in February.

I can only assume that they were waiting for the price to go up.

Not really a fan of pre season friendly’s but might have been tempted with a short trip to Holland or Germany with a bit of notice although but doubt I will bother with doing a trip at such short notice especially to Spain.

I appreciate that but we would have had to be arranging a pre season whatever the outcome of the match at Wembley.

Also Oldham announced several pre season games last week so IMHO they could and probably should have been announced by now.

This excuse is getting boring now. Pre season fixtures would be something that would have been spoken about towards the end of the season. Everyone moans each year about us being behind other teams for whatever reason yet now fans are excusing everyone saying they are having a break etc. These sort of things would have been pencilled in a while back and if they aren’t we will now be slotting in where other teams can fit us in rather than what works best for us.

You're assuming the preseason fixtures haven't been arranged. It could be they just haven't been publicised.

If they are arranged then they should be published. No reason to keep them quiet. Usually in recent seasons other teams publish our games before we do so would be usual for all other clubs to not have announced them either. There was talk of a tour for example which would be great if we knew so could book flights etc.

I'm not saying they haven't been sorted they probably have, what I'm saying is people need to be patient, it's the off season and they may still be finalising certain things depending on whether we got promoted or not, we as fans don't need to know the insides of a ducks a**e everytime we want news, plus pre-season is to get the players and squad fit and ready for next season.
