If anyone loves a graph or a stat then this piece is worth a look. Football finance expert Kieran Maguire and his database of club accounts up to 2023, along with BBC Sport attempts to break down the overall Premier League picture in 11 charts.

Some of the figures are eye wateringly staggering. I think the one for me is the Matchday, Commercial and Broadcasting revenue for 2023. All earn far more from broadcasting rights and commercial deals than they do for matchday revenue.

I'd imagine almost a complete contrast to further down the pyramid where matchday revenue may be 2nd or 1st in take with i'd imagine broadcasting revenue a lot lower.

Southend were one of the lead news stories on PoF yesterday. Maguire has put you back in the "clubs of concern" box.
