Nervous doesn’t even begin to describe the feelings I have for tonight’s game against FGR. Haven’t felt like this since the Stevenage one at Roots Hall 10-years-ago.
Therefore I’m employing the ol’ schoolboy tactic of trying to trick/convince my brain that it’s not important tonight & even if our season comes to an end, it won’t be devastating as we have plenty to look forward to next season. Such as:
- Long weekends in York and Cornwall. Maybe even Newcastle too.
- An abundance of relatively local away days
- No ridiculous KO times, such as Thursday or Sunday evenings.
- We’ll be among the favourites for promotion, and this time we’ll have no hinderance with delayed takeovers.
- God awful International breaks won’t affect our fixture list
- Another tilt at the FA Trophy
Any others I’ve missed?
