Yes ... That's how they work 😅

However ... Aside from Halifax and Oldham, all the teams in the playoffs have been the teams (aside from Barnet who were unbelievable in fairness to them) that I've been most impressed with this season

I don't think we are at their level ...

HOWEVER!!! X2 for extra drama

We are ****ing massive! And with our fans behind us, I have no doubt that we are the team to avoid in this playoff

York and FGR will have a target on their heads for sure, but if I was in their shoes, I wouldn't want to be playing the biggest club in the league right after they have just snuck in the back door 😅

I’m glad we’re on this side of the draw. Rochdale will obviously be tough but if we did get through I’d rather face Forest Green than York. But ultimately it’s a lottery and we’ve got the toughest path to get up.

On one hand I’m not getting carried away as York are the stand out team, they amassed nearly 30 points more than us across the season, solid and have goalscorers, Ollie Pearce being the main threat in form but we should go in with no fear. It’s a few cup games now, a bonus free hit and on our day we can compete and beat anyone in this league. Stranger things have happened!

Thought being quick out the blocks for the first 15 mins on theyre home turf knocked them for six and took the stuffing out of them.
Felt we created quite good chances while remaining rock solid at the back. Didn't feel they had enough speed or talent to score against us other than a freak goal.
The longer the game went on, the more I felt we would be less adventurous and be less fluid with quick passes, especially with the awful star of their pitch. I thought we coped with it better than them.
i wondered if bonne and hopper would start as I see these as our best two up front, mainly because sometimes Kendall lacks body strength against physical bigger teams, but the tactic of refreshing the front two sort of like for like with walker and bonne works well and pegs back their defenders.
I feel hopper is vital for the team with his nous, experience, strength, control and bravery. Bonne has similar attributes with a turn of speed.
Liked Hayes confidence today and how he got out of his six hard box more.
Whilst some saying we weren't that good, I felt it was a perfectly managed game, both on and off the pitch with kevs yellow the only slight blip.
I doubt the other teams fancy playing us as we are hard to score against and now we do offer a goal threat more than we did.
I hope Goodliffe ends up with us next season on a perm basis which I believe isn't likely to cause a problem financially and I hope golding fancies coming back on a season loan once his hernia op is sorted. Both of those would be quite minimal financial liabilities and without wood and Waldron it might allow opportunity for a striker.
Well done to all the journeying fans. The support was fantastic.
With Jack bridge and JD on the training ground i hope some penalty practice sessions are on the agenda this week. (Hayes too).
