Prospects deal sealed

It will only hold up the project if that area is crucial to the project. I think the Prospects site was crucial because it is where the car park is going to be. Does anyone know what is going to replace those shops and flats?

Prospects was the car park entrance and therefore vital.

· Negative view- the remaining business’s flats can now hold us to ransom and screw up the deal.

· Positive view- Not having these properties on day one is an inconvenience, not a show stopper Sainsbury’s can still get on with things. The council wants this to happen, it has been suggested on threads from last year (or 2008 ?) that the council has agreed that CPO's would be appropriate in this matter. CPO's take time, but Sainsbury’s have factored this in and as said can still get on with building the store. The plan now is for Sainsbury’s to buy the land directly, not Ron Martin. Sainsbury’s are not stupid and fully understand all of this, none of it is hardly news

I'm going with the positive view.
