Pub(s) for Wembley

Hi all, hope ticketless fans get their tickets this week as things start to change hopefully.

Looking at
https://thefsa.org.uk/news/wembley-pub-split-fa-cup-semi-finals-2025/#:~:text=Many of you will be,to the “wrong” fans.

The east team appears to get Box Park. If there's no event listed on their site will it still be open? Would be great to have loads of shrimpers in there.
We booked tickets last week. They then refunded the tickets saying days later that you can't book tickets for a table when it's a fanzone sports event and they will announce in the coming days which team will get box park.

It's then an £11 pound price for general admission before 11am. First come first serve on the table front I guess.

It doesn't necessarily go to the team in the East side of the ground. They have it to Wimbledon and Charlton who had the west side of the ground. Sheffield United had the east and were given it. No real pattern to be honest.

There's something draconian about being 'awarded' pubs.
The idea you're stopped from this or that one because you're going to a football match.
These are the dark days of the 70s revisited - or was it always thus, and I missed it because I don't usually go to a pub before a match?

Wow, haven't hit £7 yet in my local London bars for a pint of real ale, though not long now, Fullers ESB in the Dove facing the Thames has hit £6.95. (A pint of Punk IPA in my local Bulldog has certainly gone over £7!)

The price of a half of F*sters in a London boozer
Couldn't drink lager now I've sampled so many ales. I'm not even sure i could be paid to drink a lager

3 pints of Cider in The Punch & Judy (Covent Garden) last summer was just over £23.
Paying for the potential view there (balcony overlooking the performance atea)

Joke nowadays for a beer at football. My 4 cans for the train will be cheaper than 1. But oh well it's final day, sun will be out and few beers, sounds like the torch the place to be pre match 🦐1000063872.png
