The Shrimpers Trust will be holding their first Quiz Night of the Season in the Shrimpers Bar, Roots Hall on Saturday 17th September 2011.

The doors open at 7.00pm with commencement of the quiz at 7.30pm sharp.

The cost will be £10.00 for adults and £6.00 for under 16's.

For further details click here, but act fast as there are only a couple of tables left !!!!

Well this is a first, the Season hasn't even started yet and the Quiz Night is full.

Sorry if you couldn't make it this time, but look out for the next one due in January next year.

I rehearsed by being in a Ladbrokes team that got humped by The Grauniad in the OptaJoe pub quiz. Link here to the questions:

To be fair, we did beat the other bookmakers, but the Grauniad were miles clear of the pack.

Obviously the Grauniad had Barna Blue on their side.

According to the programme for the Hereford game it stated the price for the evening was 8 quid, but I see on this thread it's a tenner. I hope we will get some nice deep fried Mars Bars gratis.

The price has increased to £10. This is due to increased costs ie. the Fish House putting up their prices :'(

This is the first increase we have made for around 5 years :winking:

I haven't rehearsed at all but last time I drove and watched everyone round the table get slowly (or quickly in some cases) louder and more smashed. This time I will address that situation by leaving the car safely at home.

Quiz Team to meet in the Spread beforehand? Not sure I'll be going to the pub straight after the game as Pops likes a quieter post-match pint, but will be in there by 6:30 for the rousing team talk.

Yeah, sounds like a plan. Will rush home after game to see folks, then to spread about 6.

I will be in the Spread after the game...I believe Apes is no longer available for the team.

May I recommend the Spread in that case?

Look forward to the teamtalk.
