Just looked and there are currently less than 2000 active players in England, some counties/regions, don't have any active players whatsoever (Herefordshire for example).

Yeah, the numbers have been in steady decline for some time now. Nothing seems to be happening to address that but then that decline is pretty typical of any online game that has been running for 5+ years. I think they missed a trick to start with by not advertising the game in India, a cricket mad country with hundreds of millions of people. But then I guess it comes down to what Allan wanted to do with the game, a massive userbase means a lot more work which isn't ideal for someone who spends most of his life following England round the globe!

I will be taking a hefty hit at end of season. Franchise wages will be higher than main assuming wages drop with skill declines. May just get rid of the two old bats if I can hold my divs next season without them
