My ratings for what its worth

Collis 6.5 couple of good saves came and collected well too

Hammell 7 had a tricky winger to deal with and got forward well

Clarke 7 pretty solid no dramas

Barrett 7 also very solid

Hunt 6.5 let winger get crosses in too easily at times

Macca 8.5 MOM two goals and dynamic display

Maher 8 brilliant first half faded slightly 2nd

Bailey 7 got stuck in when needed

Gower 6.5 flashes of the gower we love

Clarke 6.5 took goal very well, too many dummies attempted after that

Morgan 7.5 looked very very good at times if only he could finish, quick

Collis 7 - looked solid and made two very good saves in particular

Hammell 6 - like the look of the partnership him and gower are making. very good player

Barrett 6 - typical barrett performance.

p clarke 6 - same as above

hunt 6 - didn't notice him that much but had a decent game

gower 6 - lost his way a few times but ended up with a very nice goal. decision making will make him a much better player.

macca 8 - 2 nicely taken goals and worked his **** off all game per usual.

maher 6 - good cross in for leons goal but thought corners were again poor but deffinately a much better performance than the last few games.

bailey 6 - did some very good tackles and seemed really up for it. helf the centre of the park nicely.

morgan 6 - like the look of him, tends to fall over and lose balance a lot much like hooper but has a lot of pace and bright ideas.

leon 7 - what can i say, just his presence gave the whole team confidence they needed. 3 mins back and a goal. says a lot after being out for 4 games. glad he's back.

charlie 6 - if theres one player i want to do well its charlie. didn't get long at all but looked lively.

Collis 7 - Not alot to do, but done it with ease. flapped at one corner.

Hunt 7 - Done very well against a quality winger and done his jib effectively.

P. Clarke 7 - Usual self kickinganything that moved with importent tackles and blocks

Barrett 7 - See above.

Hammell 7 - Done brillient against Kamara, also got forward well and hit a beautiful strike, his corners let him down though.

McCormack - 8.5. What a game raced around the pitching breaking down attacks whilst also starting moves and chipping in with 2 goals, then gets a stamp in the bollocks for his troubles.

Maher 8 - Very effective tonight, two assists and started and broke attacks down well.

Bailey 7 - His usual busy self, also broke down udders moves very well.

Gower 6.5 - Bit of a mixed game really, started brightly but then faded after he picked up a knock. good goal.

Leeeeeeon 8 - Held the ball up brilliently, scored again and gave the squad a real boost with his return.

Morgan 8 - Very lively, allways chasing it.

I thpught the idea was to rate them on how they played in the game, not on how much you like/dislike them

Agree with the above although thought Collis made a brilliant save with this legs when the score was 1-0.

How opinions differ.

Kevin Maher absolutely ran the game and proved how important he is for us. Hardly put a foot wrong all night. Fantastic crosses for both Clarke's and McCormack's goals.

Lewis Hunt did absolutely everything that could have been asked of him, covered well, distribution very good and made some important tackles.

Mark Gower takes so much stick but was always our outlet last night. Has great natural ability and took his goal fantastically well. He is a confidence player and the fans getting on his back really doesn't help. He also is a very influential player for us with the ability to win games.

Steve Collis made a couple of great saves, in particular the one with his legs, yet still looks nervous with crosses, apart from one last night, didn't command his area, and his distribution, I thought, was poor.

Defending from their free kick, for the goal, was woeful again. Set piece defending problems again.

However, our football was back to it's free flowing best with Clarke always bringing other players into the game, and Morgan looking really good playing the right way running at defenders and not with his back to goal as at Oxford.

All in all a great team performance, but it goes to show how opinions differ.
