More or less the same team of officials:

"As it stands the referee is Farai Hallam from Redbridge. He has a top role as Premier League Academy Manager having previously worked for the FA for 8 years in various senior roles leading up to National Referee Manager. A promising footballer, who aspired to represent Zimbabwe, he was at Stevenage as an academy player and turned out at Boots and Laces in a 0-1 victory for them. Injuries ended his playing career before it got going.

He is currently one level below National League level but given his recent appointments, including this one (and his contacts), I'd say he was odds on for a mid-season promotion next month.

He's already done one National League match (just 1 yellow card) and was appointed to a second that was postponed.

He lined at Roots Hall for the Maidenhead game and also for the away match at Aldershot, both last season. I've seen him referee a few times and he's been generally okay.

Assisting will be Ryan Head from near Norwich and Alex Mathieson from Aldershot with Jack Willmore from Clacton-on-Sea as Fourth Official."

Replacing Ryan Head will be Thomas Kelly from Oxford.

Can only dream of getting a ref like the one in World Cup Final. Thought he had a brilliant game in how he let the game flow and didnt fall for the trickery and diving. Would have been 2 or 3 reds from our refs if that had been a prem league game. I hope our leagues learn from that and apply more sense. Although maybe its due to the higher understanding of the game from players perspectives that enabled him to be like that. Our NL refs would probably never be allowed to ref like that or have the experience of shxthousery to know who's conning who. It made the game even better.

We are no more likely to get a referee of the same calibre than we are to see players of the same quality as the two that ran Marciniak close for man of the match.

Few challenges could've been a yellow, potentially a red for an elbow - but cards firmly in his pocket
