Whilst Leeds have been appointed their umpteenth SG referee of the season, the stand-out match of the division has been entrusted to the fast-tracked wunderkind, Anthony Taylor from Wythenshawe, Greater Manchester. In only his second season he has done 10 Championship matches and two last season (one of which was our draw at Stoke) and is destined for great things. Averages a red card every four games which is highish and three yellows a match (yellow cards not a concern to us any more).

Couldn't describe him as a homer with only one of his last eleven matches finishing up as a home victory. Lets hope he can maintain that statistically improbable sequence.

Gave JCR a slightly "soft" penalty on Saturday.

Assistants are Gary Beswick and Brian Parry, both from Co. Durham

Do I remember the ref at Stoke handling a big bust up in the tunnel at half time, and a very angry Peter Clarke? Or am I getting confused with Ipswich?

Macca to score 1st goal and 4-2 either way. Probable odds at least 800/1 but If we get to 3-2, I will be anticipating a reluctance to do other than defend the lead and will have a saver on that double as well.

Nil - Nil it may be then ...

How long is it since we last awarded a pen ? Who is our 1st choice penalty taker - following departure of Hamil.
