There are so many fans from both Southend and Chelsea who want to see this match and no guarantee of live TV coverage that a venue switch is being considered with Upton Park the favourite.

Whilst I am in favour of bringing them back to the Hall, I suppose the financials of a bigger venue could make sense too. I suppose it depends on who we draw tomorrow.

If you started some threads with real information instead of every one being a wind-up people might believe you.

hate to be picky but FA cup ties don't get moved anymore if ground can hold the fixture that's where it is played

I'm not sure about that. I thought the first yeam out the hat had the choice. Didn't Stevenage switch to Newcastle a few years back?

point being they don't do that anymore rule change about 3 years ago maybe less

The FA Prize and Broadcast fund is £75,000 for third round winners, so the share of gate receipts at RH and potential winnings are "quite" important in these harsh financial times.

Don't know whether we might be entitled to added reward for broadcasts of replays, or if it is all-inclusive into the prizefund publicly displayed at FA website.

Anyone have a handle on this as contrary to Terry Venables article in yesterday's Sun, at our level, it is IMHO at least as much about the financial rewards, as the "glory".

For live 3rd round replays each club gets £80,000 lets hope our game will be selected as we will probably only get that amount from our share of the gate receipts.
