Let's bear in mind that the teams around us (bar Linc/Macc) were playing Cambridge (H), Kiddy (A) and Oxford (H), all games, I feel that the top teams should be winning around this time of year.

Taking that view, the fact that anyone dropped points is a bonus.

Macc are off form and we stand a real chance. Come on you Shrimpers!!

Im really surprised that the top teams have been dropping points to mediocre sides. We must not fall into this trap, and must intead capitalise on this. Come on Southend!!!

The last two games we just haven't had the breaks in front of goal. We haven't played great, but we haven't played badly either and both games we could of won.

This negativity on this board is really p***ing me off, a win on Tuesday and we go top of the league with three games to go. Even a draw or a deafeat by one goal and we will still be in the top 3.

Long unbeaten runs always end sometimes and usually with more than one defeat. Even Arsenal's 49 game run ended, and then they had a bad patch. That how football works. We will pick up some wins in the last 4 games, we haven't become a bad side overnight have we.

Come on everybody stop whinging and realise that the title and automatic promotion is still very very very much achielvable and totally in our on hands.

As for all this Gower and Maher never playing for the club again, some of you on this board really need to grow up and relise that players have bad games, and go off form, christ I bet some of you are going to slag off Eastwood soon as he hasn't scored for 3 games.

Both these players have been tremendous for large parts of this season and last.

Heres to a win at an even more off form than us Macclesfield on Tuesday and a return to the top of the league.

The only complaint i have is that Tes aint around ~ apart from that im fine!

Macc Tuesday night is giving me the same sort of feelings that I had prior to both the Wycombe & Northampton away games earlier this season. They were both crucial as is Tuesday & we ended up with 6 points which was probably 3 or 4 more than the most hardened Shrimper would have hoped for.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I hope Tilly & Brush can get that winning mentality of those two games back in the lads & we can come away from Moss Rose with a very welcome 3 points to take us top of the league & set up the title showdown with Yeovil in a couple of weeks.

COME ON YOU BLUE BOYS (you KNOW you can emerge victorious - both on Tuesday and overall)

Actually he has not scored for 4 games, Cambridge, Brizzle, Wrexham and now the O's.

Agree about the negativity on here, come on lads/lasses we need to stay positive, we have acheived Tilly's ultimate pre season goal of being assured a play off place.

Trust treasurer bloke im so glad you wrote that as it saved me typing it . Agree 100% with you . I can only think that those who are writing negative stuff are also the same " supporters" ?? who got to their feet the moment Wrexhams " 2 nd hit the back of the net and left a.s.a.p. What was that all about ?? If any one reading this was one of those could you please explain your thought process at the time and tell me if , looking back , you dont 'alf feel a bit of a knob ??

Prittlewellshrimper welcome to the board. Hopefully you'll stick around to make a lot of valuable postings over the next few months and our rise up the leagues.

I, alas, was one of said " supporters ?? who got to their feet the moment Wrexhams " 2 nd hit the back of the net and left a.s.a.p." Please read my thoughts & regrets on this [see weblink]

Hello, Hello. It's good to be back

I bleed SUFC through & through, so much so that the football supporter in me said watch the Arsenal v Blackburn semi today & I just had to turn it off due to post-traumatic stress syndrome! Particulary, as OUR end (the unlucky one) was victorious

Yeah, OK, I now wish I could turn back time but hey, we all dealt with last week in our own way! So, SZ Community let's focus on Tuesday night and our remaining 4 cup-finals to secure promotion!!!

mate why dont you shove your loyal supporter crap where the sun dont shine had enough of you spouting rubbish all day .i cant believe now you can differentiate between the other fellas dad having to get to work etc etc maybe we all had to get to work maybe were all just a tad dissapointed you are the type of pillock thats been driving people awayfrom the club for years, people are entitled to do what they want ,you pay yer money you take your choice and thats it end of.and the only signal an empty stand can signal to our players is that they better pull their fingers out and get us promoted .they are professional footballers who get paid to do a job they dont love the club like you and me they just earn their living from it and us so me for one doesnt give a toss for their feelings i just hope they pull their fingers out for friday night and do the business and get back in my good books
btw southend supporter for 33 years and apart from a short spell while i lived away in the 80s i havent missed many games so please end this rubbish here this topic has had far too much space already - this is what i wrote last week do i feel a knob no mate you should take your hand off yours mate your vision wouldnt be so blurred. Will i be there on tuesday night ...yes i will....will you ? ..i hope so and if we get spanked i will leave my seat and head for the exit for my 4 hour drive home yes mate 4 hours now that is support and i wont be standing around to give em a polite clap afterwards if we lose is that ok with you ?
of course i bow to you being a better supporter than me because your such a caring individual bet you never moan about the team or tilly or anything but over here in the real world following southend for over 30 years ive seen my fair share of ups and downs probably more downs to be fair but i,m entitled to my opinion and can do what i want so get off your perch mate and stop alianating people obviously with close on 20000 at cardiff and approximately 6000 stayed to clap the players acording to the numbers given on this board it doesnt take an einstein to work out that approximately 14000 thought like me.
stop pushing fans away with your petty minded attitude because the fans are the lifeblood of this club not the players we will still be here when they are long gone
see ya at macclesfield on tuesday then................or not
