Rhys Murphy

If we manage to stay in this division next year, I bet he scores against us. Well if we are in this division next year is an achievement in itself

Murphy, along with Hyde at Yeovil, are plying their trade at the level below us as it stands, the National League South.

Ex players, especially strikers tend to do that to you, they are extra motivated on that day to show what you missed out on. I noticed in his after match interview Mark Cooper was raving about the firepower they have in Rhys and Frank and mentioning they also have Jake Hyde who was unfit to play......... Friendlies can be very misleading of course, wait till things speed up and the tackles start flying in, only then will you be able to tell if players and their fitness are up to the challenge.

No? You're kidding? Who would have thunk it?

I see Murphy got another two goals and another assist for Frank Nouble for Yeovil last night, I think these boys might do well in that league this season.

Went to the Somerset Derby last night, Taunton V Yeovil in NLS and a few ex-shrimpers were in action - Yeovil lined up with Frank Nouble in attack, Rhys Murphy & Jake Hyde on the bench.

Nouble scored the only goal in a dour encounter in freezing conditions.
Murphy came on as sub in the 2nd half, hit the bar from 25 yards then limped back off with another injury to be replaced by Jake Hyde who didn't do anything of note.
