As I know Rob Newman's name was disappeared in the Gorleston (Ridgeons League) website, did he give up playing or not? I didn't hope so, we will miss him on the football field!!!

Honestly Big Rob still had the heart to play football, even he was reached 40 or 50 I think! As I know Rob will play in Norwich City All-stars on Easter Sunday, April 11, against Gorleston FC!!! Other squads member include: Jeremy Goss, Robert Fleck, Tony Spearing, Ruel Fox, Mike Milligan, Peter Mendham, Bryan Gunn, Keith Robson, Neil Adams and Greg Shepherd.

Did anyone actually come up with ET's name? I was going to phone home...

...but I don't think they'll know either.

*cue tumbleweed*

I'll get me coat.

Coach ET... I have to say, your messages make for a pretty unedifying read... rather than standing up and saying who you are and what precisely your grievance with Tilly is, you look like a man with sour grapes taking pot-shots behind the anonymity of a computer.

It's all a bit tawdry, if you ask me.

Irrespective of your particular beef with Tilly, I would be thoroughly intrigued to see you explain how come:

*we've got to our first final in 98 years

*our record under Tilly is P25 W11 D7 L7 whilst
*our record under Wignall was P23 W6 D3 L14

*Tilly has indisputably taken us away from the foot of the table

*Dudfield, someone from totally outside the club (and thus with no bias or preconceptions) chose to sign for us - and did so not only on the expressly stated desire of Tilly & Brush having signed up as permanent managers first, but also in preference to working with a previous manager (Gary Johnson) who had "found" Dudfield as a 17 yr-old whilst working for Kettering.

All of these seem to me to be unarguable facts. Bearing these in mind, what exactly is your problem in Tilly, and why is his appointment something you have trouble with (or, at least, only support because that means in your warped mind that 18 months down the road he'll be sacked and you'll have the last laugh)?

I am intrigued to find out, I really am. Starting with your name, cyber-warrior.

Matt,

Dave knows his name, he is an ex under13's coach who obviously thinks that he is more than just a Sunday league coach and is going to be the next England manager.

Sounds very bitter doesn't he?

Matt
Precisely. From what I can see he has a personal vendetta against Steve Tilson, a man of whom I have never heard anyone speak a bad word.

MATT, i already said who i am so i am not hiding behind the anonymity of a computer: if i really wanted to hide my identity
i could have done it. for example, you know who i am now but
i dont know who you are so this should be enough to show you that i am not afraid to speak out my mind, like i always done in my life.
none of your mates has revealed who they are neither you.so
WHO IS HIDING BEHIND A COMPUTER?
going back to tilly's record, the only thing i know we moved
from 22nd to 19th in the table, if that is ok for you, fair enough.
you are using words like "vendetta" an italian word, you dont even know what it means! i am talking about football not about shooting people: getting my back on tilly will be football wise.
going back to this " sunday league managers story" i can tell you i coached senior sides with excellent results and i dont have to add anything else: i let the facts speak louder than the words and the players i coached over the years they will speak on my behalf, and if you want discuss about football
you are more than welcome.end of the story.

Coach ET - I have no idea who you are. So far as I am concerned, you are still hiding behind a computer.

As for me, since:

(a) I'm claiming to have neither loads of inside knowledge nor a personal grudge against the Southend Manager; and

(b) I'm not claiming to be an individual with fantastic coaching credentials

then I fail to see how my identity or qualifications are pertinent to this debate.

I don't consider that you have revealed your identity, because you've made sideways references to documents I have not seen and football teams (such as Ecko Whitecaps) of which I have no knowledge.

Since you consider, however, that the revealing of my identity is important to you, I'm happy to tell you that my name is Matt Walker, I'm an Employed Barrister, I live in Greenwich and I've supported Southend from the terraces since April 1991.

Since I've now revealed my identity - because I have nothing to hide - I'd be grateful if you did me the courtesy of telling us:

*who you are; and
*why you have a grudge against Steve Tilson.

As for your selective representing of Tilly's stats, I see you fail to note (for example) that we have moved from one point above the relegation spots to 9 points above the spots; and that we would be higher were it not for the fact that Wignall left the team with a goal difference of -17.

But that's OK, you can continue to represent the facts as you choose. The Win/Loss record, the increased gate, the massive queue outside the club shop and our presence in the LDV Final speak far more eloquently of Tilson's successes than your bitter snipings.

Anche non era io che ho usato la parola "vendetta"; capisco il senso della parola.

Please check your facts before you make accusations; as someone who has trained as a barrister, it is something I always do scrupulously, I assure you.

If you reveal your identity (by telling us your name) and explain to us precisely what your grievance is with Tilson and how he is supposed to have wronged you, then we may be in a position to reassess our opinions of him in light of his treatment of you.

However, since you have retained your anonimity by referring to documents we have not seen, and since you have failed to give any details of your grievance, then we are not in a position to consider your story at all.

So, as John Major would have said: put up, or shut up. Time for you to come clean and explain yourself, or else it really will be the end of the story - certainly the last time I entertain your baseless meanderings.

We all look forward to hearing from you.

Matt

i am coming BEEFY and mr MATT WALKER.( i was busy at the
meeting with my solicitor).
he advised me to choose carefully my words in presence of such an eminent person like BARRISTER MR WALKER representing mr STEVE TILSON of wickford. It is corrett MATT
or mr walker, how do you want be called?
i can really see how your identity or qualifications are " pertinent" to this debate: they really are!
now you spend a lot of your precious time on this web- site
and you are telling me after 110 replies and 2000 views that
you still dont know who i am, what my problem with steve is
etc,etc?
two things:1) it is evident that you dont pay enough attention
or 2) you are trying to squeeze as much evidence or proofs
to support your claim as steve's barrister!
if you look back in this " rob newman thread" you would notice
that at pages 5,6 and 9 there is my name, who i am, and why
i have something against steve.
you said you are very scrupulous and always check your facts.
well, it seems like you forgot this time, but i hardly believe it!
going back to football, the average attendances are just above 4000 mark, more or less than last year, 4, teams behind us have got games in hand, we have got rochdale, carlisle and huddersfield away, darlington, hull, yeovil and torquay at home with ,as you mention, a bad goal difference.
definitely, with carlisle capable of winning 7of their 11 remaining matches, we are not out of the woods yet!!
regarding the thingymabob cup final, well, go and enjoy it,the
only thing this season will be remembered for.
otherwise, it will be the 5th consecutive season in this bottom
basement league, definitely not a record to be proud of!

David, Rob was there at the start of the season, but havi9ng spoken to him in the Far Post Bar at Roots Hall (he regularly comes back despite claiming he's still bitter) a while back, he said he gave up playing to concentrate on scouting for West Ham.

No, I am not representing Tilly. I specialise in construction & engineering law, not employment law. As any of the members of this site who know me would tell you, I am in no way connected with the club, other than the fact that I am a fan.

I'm afraid it is you who has failed to check his facts. Either that, or we have been looking at different screens.

You have never stated, in terms, "my name is Enrico T****, and my disagreement with Steve Tilson is as follows:"

If I am wrong about that, cut and paste the text showing where you have said that. I asked you to give your name and the nature of your grievance, and you have failed to do so.

You have asked us to look at your posts. So, here they are:

Page 3: I just dont like people that go with the tide and they are the first ones to crucify the main man when things go wrong.

You can have your opinion about Tilly and Brush, I will keep mine and that comes from working together with Steve. In my years in football I always put a man's word before everything: well, in his case his word is worth less than nothing.

He proved to me that, behind the appearance, there is a man that runs away from situations instead of facing up to them and that to me is enough not to get the manager's job.

Ask yourself why he hasnt got the job yet?

Pausing there, Enrico, that's your first inaccuracy - he has got the job.

He is surrounded by people that will never be a threat to him but one thing for sure, what goes around comes round and one day he will get what he deserves.

Well I have got something outstanding with him and dont matter how long it will take I will settle it up one day, he can be assured about.

= = = = = =

So, that was your first posting. There is not a single specific allegation of what Tilson is supposed to have done to you (e.g. Tilly promised me a contract and then sacked me; Tilly backed my judgement on a player but then turned on me when that player failed); merely unspecified and bitter snipings.

Page 5: If someone tells you "give me this week, i have been busy with the first team, i will get all the facts and get back to you" and he doesn't: not face to face, not even a phone call, a letter from sue, nothing. how would you describe someone like him?

i had a lot of time for steve, i worked my socks off for the club and for him (results speak for themselves) in four seasons but my esteem for him as a man has gone down because of the way he acted.

Pausing again. Which team? What results? Which seasons? What facts was Tilly supposed to collate and then get back to you? What was the incident to which those facts related? Again, not a single fact has been mentioned there.

Well, actually he didnt want to get involved because the argument was with one of his hangers-on: you can fall out with friends but a phone call was all it was required.

two years ago he was in the office complaining to me about one of the coaches leaving without informing him and what he does? he does the same to one of his most loyal coaches! definitely a lack of style, embarassing for him and his gang

"One of his hangers-on". Who? Who are the other hangers on? Which coach had left but haden't informed him?

"He does the same to one of his most loyal coaches". The same what? You've just talked about a coach leaving and not informing Tilson - so "the same" must surely be that you left and didn't tell Tilson; that would be "the same", wouldn't it?

(i had the bag with the footballs, training gear, nobody from the club had the guts to ask it back so i had to drop it with terry baker, the youth physio)

This is the first actual fact you've given us. After you left the club in uncertain circumstances, the club forgot to ask you to return the bag with the footballs and training gear and so you had to drop it off with Terry Baker, the youth physio. What exactly is your point here? Since it would have been theft if you'd kept hold of property that didn't belong to you, why did the club need to get in touch? It was incumbent on you to give the equipment back to the club, wasn't it?

Page 6: i am so undecided between the love for the club and the bitterness towards tilly. could you help me please?

(As to your identity) Go to the main reception at the club and get hold of one of the blues commercial opportunities leaflets: i am at page thirty-one, picture in the middle.

This is as close you have got to revealing your identity. However, in my previous e-mail, I said:

I don't consider that you have revealed your identity, because you've made sideways references to documents I have not seen and football teams (such as Ecko Whitecaps) of which I have no knowledge.

Since I've now revealed my identity - because I have nothing to hide - I'd be grateful if you did me the courtesy of telling us:

*who you are; and
*why you have a grudge against Steve Tilson.

As you can see, from the extracts of your posts above, you have failed to reveal either your name (which is not "Mr. Page 31 of a Brochure", but is Enrico something) or your grievance with Tilly.

Finally, you told us to look at Page 9:

It is last year u'15s ... [I am] 6.4 and 18 stones irascible latin man with a lot of connections with the north american and sicilian mafia

Other than threatening us, you've provided absolutely no details of who you are. Other than, I suppose, the fact that McScriven has your e-mail address which perhaps should be passed to the police so that they can question you about your Mafia links.

= = = = = = =

In summary, since (as is plain from your posts above) you are unwilling to stand behind your claims by telling us who you are and what your grievance, the only conclusion you leave us with is this:

You are a bitter fantasist, to whom we should pay no attention.

I look forward to your specific allegations, or your silence.

Matt

Hi TheLittleGazette, thanks for updating me as the ex-canaries website said he still played for the Gorleston, the Ridgeons League side.

here it comes, mr walker!
i can really see by the way you talk, that you are really a proper " barrister" : you mention "allegations", "grievances",
give your name and nature of, and so on.
well, i am going answer all your questions,mr walker, in a detailed way because that's what you want to know and after
that if you like? i am going give you tilly's mobile number and names and phone numbers of all the people involved!
happy about?
my name is enrico tiritera, i came to live in this country 11 years ago in 1993,come from rome, i am a postman at the southend-on-sea sorting office and till october 2003 i worked
at sufc centre of excellence as a coach. i was asked by mr
steve tilson in the spring of 2000, to work for sufc, never applied for it. my previous clubs are concord rangers, ekco whitecaps, great wakering rovers, and romford.
during my staying with sufc, i coached the u'10s(2000-2001)
u'10s(2001-2002) u'15s (2002-2003) u13s(2003-2004) achieving excellent results with every age group.
during the summer of 2003, i let steve know that i was trying
to open a soccer school to raise some money for the ivf treatment for my wife( she wanted another son and she has had two ectopic pregnancies in the last four years) and i asked which age group he wanted me to do for the coming season and also which training days so i could plan ahead with
the soccer school.
he was concerned about opening this soccer school because
that could clash with the one run by his assistant director
dave thompson: i said there were enough kids out there and also i wasnt sure about my commitment because my son was
going to play every sunday.
he got back to me and said i would have done the u'13s with
a young lad called j. haylock( i brought him to the club even if
tilly wasnt sure about him) and i say the soccer school didnt go down well with mr thompson.
we started the season, with me doing all the coaching and james learning and dealing with the rest: everything was fine
the boys were happy, everybody was happy and they were
progressing very well. i also managed to raise enough money
for the ivf treatment and i stopped doing the soccer school to
be fully focused on the southend job.
one sunday morning, we played leyton orient at boots & laces
and we draw 3-3. during the match, i tried to encourage the
boys that were not playing particurarly well, asking them to
pressurise the opposition in the last third, when i heard one of
their coaches saying to me " what do you think is? the world cup?. surprised, i look at him and said" i am only encouraging
the boys, i am not saying anything rude to you or your boys"
i stopped there . i knew he was p***** off because our boys
got back from 3-1 down to 3-3 and i got more vocal than him,but he was all about giving instructions to the boys.
to cut it short, dave thompson came around and this fella went straight to him, complaining about " god knows only what"! i heard tommo saying" we will deal with it" and i said"what you are going deal what? before jumping to conclusion, get all the facts and ask people around what happened.
it was what he had been waiting for;get his revenge for the soccer school! i wasnt happy at all and while i was still on the
pitch i phoned steve because i knew i could trust him ( every
time one of us had a problem we always spoke face to face and sort it out) and i asked to see him.
at the same time, james was slagging the players off, saying
them they were not good enough and he was looking to get
rid of a lot of them!
i was furious, i called him in the little office and i said to him in
no uncertain terms that he was such an inexperienced coach, that he shouldnt slagged the players off, like that, and
the fact i recommended him to steve and tommo even if tilly
wasnt sure about him! it was our first draw in 6 games( five wins).
i had it enough that i just said to myself: " i am not coming back tomorrow for training".
instead, after phone calls from the parents , i decided to turn up, because i had done nothing to be ashamed of, to the embarrassment of tommo and j. haylock that were so embarrassed they went in the little office and didnt show their faces for all evening( i wont mention the comments from
the parents but they really enjoyed).
so we had a good training session with the boys and so the following wednesday with the guys still into hiding.
i went to see tilly the following monday at 9o' clock, me and him in the home changing rooms at roots hall: we had a good
heart to heart conversation, i explained him what happened with the leyton orient coach and james.
he asked me if i wanted to carry on working with james: i said
no, because he lost the respect of the players.
steve said" give me this week, enrico, i have been busy with the first team, i will get all the facts and i will get back to you"
i said to him to ask someone " neutral" PAUL WILSON THE PHYSIO, he was there at the game with me and he would have told him the truth. we shook hands and i left with the belief that he would have sorted it out. as it stands now, HE
NEVER EVER GOT BACK TO ME, not even to say " sorry enrico
i think you are wrong, i have got to let you go" i would have accepted that!
now, you heard the story, chaps. if you want tilly's number to
tell him what a nice man he is, i will give to you or otherwise all the boys numbers especially the boy" LIAM MAC NAMARA"
THAT HE WAS TOLD FROM MR THOMPSON AND little james TO
DECIDE WHERE HIS LOYALTY LIES. HE TOLD THEM TO GET STUFFED AND LEFT. HIS DAD HE IS THE NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOUR OF OUR CHAIRMAIN RON MARTIN.
now drawn your own conclusions!

How pathetic. As I said little more than Sunday League and you were acting like it's the Premiership. In business if someone comes to me and isn't happy with something I'll normally say "I'll deal with it" but 9 times out of 10 it's just to get rid of that person.

So he said he'd contact you and he didn't? So what I'm sure Tilly had bigger things to worry about than some little squabble in the Under 13's side.
