Rochdale haven’t don’t anything special tonight.. we’ve just picked the worst possible game in which to have a defensive mare.
They are also pretty poor at the back but we've not got much going forward unfortunately.

I fear for us having Hopper and Walker contracted next season. I don’t doubt they work hard and contribute defensively etc etc but it’s been plainly obvious for a long time now that we’re desperately lacking a proper goalscorer and there’s gotta be some decent budget tied up in those two
Walker categorically does not work hard. He’s a waste of space. Hopper to be fair tries but he’s also the worlds slowest man so it doesn’t amount to much

Pishing about with it at the back again. Nearly giving them another one & none of that was Hayes fault.

I don't know whether, because we have no creativity in the team whatsoever, our tactic from the off was get the ball wide and then play long balls over the top down the wings, that we consistently over hit and just made us easy to defend against, particularly in the first half. Or did Maher see something that wasn't there, as we have given their defence such an easy ride. and we have never at any stage built up any sustained pressure.
