Breaking News Ron the Rat pleads his case in the Daily Mail

The article was written with a huge level of journo bias and led opinion instead of allowing the reader to assess for themself. The insolvency 'expert' gave uninformed opinions that others have construed as facts and that in a time when 'experts' have led the country into near oblivion. The journo then states Ron hung on to the club to build the new stadium and referred to it as Rons 'golden egg.'. What a contradiction! I hope some fans can put aside the bile and see the simple truth and not the social media contrived narrative.

I am so disappointed in the RM not paying staff fiasco and also for him not selling earlier but I still believe he is most guilty of trying to achieve something that was beyond him despite wanting the best for the club. Do I think he is a fan? Yes I do.

We have new hopes to look forward to and the team is playing its heart out for the club and the fans. I wish Ron and his family well and hope, as time passes, we get to remember the better times under the current regime and begin to understand the the true intentions.

Be nice. We all make mistakes.
How about no sod him and his sons

Don't know if was just Ron spouting BS as usual, but interesting to see we're still pursuing the 10 point deduction being rescinded
I guess it would have to eventually go to the CAS in Switzerland...

Very costly, but perhaps the Consortium are happy to pick up the tab in the hope it could get us 10 points closer to the EFL.

An accurate picture of the situation was portrayed in this article. Most readers of it I am sure would agree with the majority of us who feel RM should have sold up or got another investor in about four years ago when the financial situation got a lot worse. God knows how he thought that there was a way out of the mess that he had got the club into. Debts piling up and no realistic chance of the club making its own profitable income. Let's hope for a better future under the new regime.

Absolutely he didn't wake up and smelt the coffee and carried on and the club has ended up the poor state we are today allowed the wonderful club fall down the football pyramid which for is unforgivable. The only credit I can give him is to recruit Tom Lawrence as CEO and get Stan collymore to the club and ultimately recruit Kev and his team the best decision he has ever made.He has how seen the light far to late and the transfer will happen the best Christmas present the fan base will have

Well folks there you have it, the perfect platform for the 🐀 to give his narcissistic abdication speech! The King 🐀 is dead long live the Republic (well Consortium anyway). If nothing else the 🐀 own words capture the deluded removed from reality 'cocoon' he has lived for many a year. I have no doubt he genuinely believes in the parallel dimension his mind inhabits and therefore arguably could be pitted, but that would have to come from a better person than me, unless we are referring to digging a hole in the ground! The only positive I take from this is a genuine feel the timing of the article is very much a precursor to the announcement we all await.

Not sure how much Ron had to do with all of us. Stan came to the Club of his own accord and managed to get Ron to see the light and was very influential in introducing Tom to the Club. Stan, Tom and Gary Lockett were on the interview panel that appointed Kevin, Darren and Mark. Quite possibly Ron would have given his approval, but he probably had little choice.

Ron didn't bankroll the Club for the Club's benefit it was very much for his own dream.

The one thing I'm looking forward to when this deal gets done is never hearing about this man again. Even seeing "Ron the Rat" spouted everywhere makes me uncomfortable, partly because of the pure negative energy that accompanies it and partly because I think it's grossly unfair to rats.

I never want to read, write or utter his name ever again.
