Hi people. Got my ticket for tomorrow's Cup game home to Walsall.

Really looking forward to it and thinking that we might see quite a lot of rotation, which I'm fine about as I will get to see some more of the new signings.

I'm thinking we might see a starting line-up something like this:

Smith
White Thompson Ibenfelt Coker
Worrall Atkinson Payne Weston/Shaq
Barnard Lane

What do others think? Stick with the winning team from Accrington or make changes? Who would you guys choose in your line-up?

We have a decent squad so I don't think rotating things a little weakens us at all.

Bentley

White Bolger Ibanfelt Coker

Worrall Atkinson Clifford Coulthirst

Weston
...............Barnard

Gives us a very strong bench as well: Smith, Prosser, Leonard, Hurst, Corr

Dont see Layne getting anywhere near a start, but PB said others will take part

Southend United @SUFCRootsHall
PB: "The likes of Adam Thompson, Mads Ibenfeldt, Will Atkinson and Jack Payne will all play some part."

Then we have heard that before....

Play the strongest team PB believes we have..a winnable game and we like a cup run!
Trouble is................does PB know his strongest team yet? Can't help believing, that with no points at stake, he will shake it up a bit. Always the dilemma of risking a cup run in exchange for better knowing the capabilities of the squad.

Rotate Yes we need the money And its only door in the season. But just think what happened last season after a long cup run we then went on a long run without winning .Every cup round adds tuesday sataday football .We need promotion that is our goal this time around .

Rotate, give the other new signings a chance.

I would choose:
Bentley,
Thompson, Ibenfeldt, Bolger, Coker,
Worrall, Payne, Clifford, Atkinson,
Layne, Barnard
Subs: Smith, Brown, Prosser, White, Leonard, Corr, Weston

But can see us going with a 3-5-2 with Worrall and Coker as wing backs:
Bentley,
Thompson, Ibenfeldt, Prosser,
Worrall, Payne, Clifford, Atkinson, Coker
Weston,
Barnard
Subs: Smith, White, Hurst, Leonard, Brown, Layne, Corr

Nothing to do with a cup run, we were not good enough during that period, just coincides with a decent cup run, easy to blame bad runs on certain things, when the players are/were not good enough at the time.
Manager has to take a certain amount of the blame, but overall the players are the one's who can make or break a season over 46 games, not just 12

UTS

would go with
Bentley
White Prosser Ibenfeldt Coker
Atkinson Leonard or Clifford Hurst
Weston Barnard Shaq

would like to see layne & payne come on at some point

Personally I think we have a decent chance of progression. I would play the strongest side we have and try and get one of the big boys in the next round. Do we really need to rotate given we only played one league game?

PB will be thinking of the season as a whole. He will know which players can't do too many games in a season, and will also need to give others on the fringe a game. So of course changes will be made. Luckily we now have a strong squad, so will still be a decent team whoever he plays.

I wonder how many will be put off by the fact that only the east stand will be open?
We've just won our first game and plenty of new players to see, surely they should open the south upper as well?
I'm afraid this doesn't reflect very well on the clubs expectations on support.

Brown probably doesn't know his strongest team. Won't he bring in players he thinks might improve things and also drop those who were below par on Sat?

Unchanged it is then.

Rotation needed. The likes of Ibenfeldt, Atkinson, Worrall & Barney who are all potential first teamers need starts to sharpen themselves up.

I would change the back four by bringing in Mads and leaving Prosser out.

Keep the midfield the same unless anyone has picked up a knock. Perhaps try Atko instead of Sharky and use him in the last 30 minutes or so.

Barney in for Corr up front.

Plenty of bodies on the subs bench to change the team around if required.

And didn't Hurst come from Warsaw? He'll be wanting to play for 90 minutes.

I'd go for a 3412/352:

--------------------P.Smith--------------------
-------Thompson---Ibenfeldt---Prosser---------
-Worrall------Atkinson------Clifford------Coker--
---------------------Payne---------------------
------------Barnard---------Coulthirst-----------
