"Rotundly Challenged" would suggest to me that the singers in question are not very fat.

'Horizontally enhanced' might work though.... or just simply 'rotund'!

Fat people do tend to have more powerful voices though, probably something about the way they're built...

No-one's mentioned Demis Roussos - he wore rather fetching tents as I seem to remember. Mama Cass had an amazing voice, the Mamas and the Papas were pretty awesome or maybe that's just the latent hippy in me.
