Bumped in to Simon Royce and Chris Powell on Monday evening at the Midland Hotel here in Manchester. Both had been attending the PFA AGM and I was at the hotel for the North West Football Awards as one of the sponsors.
Both of them were very surprised when I approached them stating I was a Southend fan, especially Roycey who commented on the fact I had lost my Essex accent!! Both said how well Tilly had done for us and Powelly commented on what a good player Lee Sawyer is...
