That was the bit that really made me laugh, especially as I upgraded the mother-in-laws pc last night to 2GB, really puts into perspective what we had in those days. I guess I can blame Micro$oft for making software that just eats Memory like no tomorrow.
 
When I started work at Office Automation Unit of the Department of Trade and Industry in London in 1984, I was trained to support the ICL DRS system, considered at the time as being at the forefront of office automation in the UK. Anyone else remember it?
