Sean Clohessy

Seriously fallen from grace, should've never have left us. Much better player than John White IMO.

I'd disagree with that. Clohessy had a flair for going forward that White doesn't, and I always liked him. Defensively he's not as good, and as a defender that's surely the most important part of the game. Same as with Demetriou.
 
Demetriou and Clohessy (when with us) make White look like a conference player, just my opinion.

What do you want defenders to do?
If you want them to defend, then White is far and away the better out of all three of those.

I don't though not from a right or left back. I can forgive them for not being the best defensively if they link up well with the wingers or bomb forward and create chances from the back. Good deliveries and creating chances for our strikers to get onto. If they were both good going forward and at defending they wouldn't be playing with us! I'd rather have that attacking element than the defensive but again, my opinion.

Defend and attack.

Clohessy managed this. White might be marginally better defensively but Clohessy was streets ahead going forward.
