Reported to have collapsed with a brain tumour - wishing him a speedy recovery, a great golfer and one who brought golf to the masses.

Confirmed on the BBC website that Seve has been diagnosed with a brain tumour.

So sad to hear this as without doubt, Seve is one of my all time favourite sportsmen of all time and along with Arnold Palmer certainly my favourite golfer.

Get well soon Seve and if you show half the fighting spirit you showed out on the course,, I know you'll get through it.

Second op apparently, there were reported to be "complications" in the first. Terrible shame, hope he pulls through ok.

Seve, an inspiration to many golfers of many generations. Here's hoping everything goes well with his treatment.

Get well soon Seve.
