For the interests of fairness, what exactly was that reprimand?

All I recall was someone taking offence when you got your facts wrong and shared your view that their head was so far up Scriven's arse he could see the bacon he'd had for breakfast (or words to that effect). If you consider them responding to your allegations on the same thread as a reprimand, then I'd suggest you need to get out more.

Like I said before, freedom of speech cuts both ways. It's your God-given right to say something stupid, but don't expect others to just ignore it when you have a pop at them, owner or no owner.

I get out plenty, I'm not confined to South East Essex and leave the county daily, and the country frequently.What about you ?

Yes I think it's become boring on here, but only the posters can make it more exciting and we can all go and do something else,like get out more.I'll leave that one with you.

I'm happy for you for your full and eventful life, but the point stands now as it did before. It doesn't matter if you're an owner or a poster. If you have a pop at someone based on any number of false assumptions, they'll have a pop back. You can call it a reprimand and get all defensive about that if you want to. You've missed the point there woefully so I'll make it again. If you think someone responding to you having a pop at them is a reprimand, whether they're an owner or poster, then you do need to get out a bit more, no matter how many countries you've been to.

Since you asked though, my work has taken me to 10 countries in 3 continents in the last 5 months. In truth, it's the bit I hate most about my job but assumption's just not your thing is it, fella?

Seems you can't take people disagreeing with you, pop away as much as you like, but don't litter your posts saying my posts are stupid or based on false assumptions because they are not. The response (or lack of) to my false assumptions/stupid posts suggests differently.

Perhaps when you're travelling the world you can take some time to think how some of your co-owners behave with maturity and wisdom (Cricko,Ken) and learn from it.

Your post was, as it happens, based entirely on a false premise about whether or not I'd labelled myself as a fanatic (I hadn't), and about whether I was crawling up Scriv's @rse (Dave's an alright guy, but I don't like him in that way).

We then had a debate about whether or not an absence of criticism on the thread meant that everyone agreed with your statements.

I happen not to think so. Silence doesn't mean anything. Silence is just silence - that people neither support nor criticise your stance. If no one says anything about your post, it probably means they have no opinion on it at all. It certainly doesn't mean (as you appeared to think) that they agree with you.

But, please, for goodness sake, can we just let this one lie - as we'd agreed to in PMs? What on earth are you trying to achieve by raking over these old coals?
