All you folks on Twitter, get on the and send...

@SkySportsNewsHQ #goalofthedayleonard

he's is in the top 5 and needs your vote. Poll closes at 22:00!

Am I being cynical - only a minority few have Sly - and then a small percentage of them will nominate a goal which means that the "goal of the day" is nominated by a few of a few.

Can't we just enjoy the goal without having Sly intervene? It's a Southend goal and belongs to Southend United and the fans - and does not belong to some large corporation that has recently become been involved in football because it makes a profit for their shareholders.

Thing is I think most people think that our goal was more luck then anything

May have looked lucky but I think Lennie spotted the keeper off his line, the sun was in the keepers eyes and Lennie struck the perfect shot. Pigott's goal was cute too. Used good feet to dummy the defender and give himself a shot at goal

Of course I loved Lenny's volley, especially as it was in injury time, but I actually think Pigotts was better.

Hold on - what's going on? We're talking about the best goal - not that long ago we were talking about any goal!

What about save of the day by Dan at the same end. I was behind that shot in the main stand. The highlights don't show how much that shot was bending. looked a goal all the way, some of the Daggers next to us were amazed.

Leonard and Pennant's were both better than Bamford's. These votes just go to show clubs fan power on Twitter. The bigger club will always win so they're kind of irrelevant.
