First visit back to these boards for 3 weeks or more. The new job is fantastic other than the fact that the Zone is banned

(phew you say) . I'm out of the house from 6.20 to 8pm or later so usually by the time I get home it's dinner, a quick catch up with Mrs ORM, post and the box then bed. I'll try harder because I know the Zone is a poor place without me

On the footie front other than the fact that I lost the plot and mailed BBC sport last Saturday in a fit of disappointment we're not the worst team I've seen at Roots Hall this year. I still reckon we're good for 15th or 16th spot.

As for last night - simply awesome, fully deserved and ORM is looking forward to Wycombe at home in the q-f and a nice awayday to Newcastle for the semis (and you know I like a good semi

)

I've been saying for weeks that Sodje and Prior are the best centre back option we have (if fully fit) and last night proved it in abundance. Other than one moment of magic from Rooney there is no-way they were giving an inch last night. Eastwood added another 100K to his valuation as well. We might get £1.7 for him in January now, much needed funds to strengthen the squad.

Actually I'm hoping the club can persuade him to see the season out but it would help if we have a good league run between now and then. In the bottom three after Xmas and I don't think anyone would begrudge the right career move for him.

Naturally I'm delighted that Emma B is still on course to win Strictly Come Dancing. It's been heavy on the Kleenex in the ORM household for the last few weeks.

I'll leave you with one last thought.

Ooooooooh, forgot to add that the footie with Southend Collegians Vets is going along quite nicely. 3rd in League Div 1 (only 6 places away from Tag United,

) and we've already knocked the favourites out of the league cup. It's great being a 'young' member of the team all over again.

SZFC are also going great guns in their push for promotion in the Sceptre League as well.

Nice to see you back ORM, albeit briefly, and glad the job is ticking along OK. That whip round that SZ had for your IT manager worked then.....
