TV Highlights Southend United 0-2 Wycombe Wanderers

Hmm Elvis out of position for the 1st cross in and out jumped for the second. He will learn though.

Eh?

Watch it again. Elvis was where he should have been, picking up their 4 who is near the touchline. The goal comes because Kiernan fails to deal with their 22 who's facing away from goal and was going nowhere. Kiernan just needs to marshall him to the outside. Instead Kiernan over commits and lets the 22 stroll inside him, giving him all the time he needs to pick out the 11 running from central midfield.

Dieng can't track the 11 because with Kiernan out of the game he's now having to hold his position in case the 22 wants to line up a shot. Instead he shields the gap between the centre-halves.

Hart is on Akinfenwa, Lennon on the 25. Of the rest of the players in shot only John White isn't picking up anybody and the runner is in his area. White actually sees the runner early but doesn't react and is then slow turning and chasing and makes a half-arsed effort to close the cross down. Lennon can't slide in as if he does it'll be an OG. Hart maybe has a chance to try and put it out for a corner but is probably too far away.

Just got back from 4 days in S-O-S................................... I suggest all of the players should be looking for alternative employment because none of them are footballers. No fight, no passion, no idea. Seemed like no game plan from KB. WWFC had one, go down at the slightest touch, put the free kick into our half and press into our half en masse, just play in our half as much as possible and feed off of Akinfenwa's best asset, his strength..............It worked. Sam Hart gave away space for the first when he should have been tight on and why did Bishop drop to his knees before the ball was struck allowing it to go above him. All he needed to do was stand up. The 2nd was Elvis allowing himself to be pushed off lightly in the jump and Bishop completely failing to judge the flight/ trajectory of the header. Whilst they both may learn over time we can't afford to give them time. Neither should be anywhere near the team at the mo. Only wins against Walsall and Rochdale will save us now. Four or six points only at home probably won't.

Fair enough having seen it again, I was a little harsh on Elvis.

I said the same. A lot on here won't like it being said, but Bishop is letting in an awful lot of soft goals. He's not as ready as we thought he was.

I have it on very good authority that the defence are much happier with Mr Bishop in goal than Mr Oxley.

Not doubting what you say but who the f*** are they to point any fingers

Since Bishop had his clean sheet and won MOM v Gills we haven't won a game at RH because we have conceded more than 2 a game with Bishop in goal. If they prefer him they should be ashamed of themselves for not protecting him.
