Think most of the match ratings have been spot on, apart from Straker's :winking:. I thought Britt worried their defence all night, couldn't handle him, and the only way they could try to handle him and Corr was by going through the back of them.

I was right in line with Hurst's goal, looked a beauty, nice little look-up and picked his spot. I had a pretty decent view of their goal too, the ball seemed to be in slow-mo coming down and waiting to be hit on the half-volley so you knew what was coming, but it was hit with the sweet spot and when it went in I was instantly disappointed that Smith seemed to be rooted for it, but I think it might have been one of those hit so sweetly and strongly that he had no chance, maybe?!

On the Smith debate, he does look nervy on the odd save, but the good saves outweigh this for me. I watched the game with a Brentford fan who couldn't believe how nervous Smith looked as he was a big fan of his a long time ago at Brentford. So I particularly enjoyed pointing out the crucial save from the free-kick right at the end!

Delighted with how fit Corr looked, won most balls in the air, chased defenders down, ran onto balls tirelessly, overall I thought he looked pretty sharp. Whereas, not even a substitute run-out for Eastwood? I was really surprised by that. I guess he may have come on if the third goal had gone in but he's right down the pecking order now.

Yes the Brentford fans claim it was a reserve side, yes they missed some absolute sitters, but you've got to put them away and we did!

Do they ?

Nine of their starting line up played in their last League match. Eight of ours did.

Weird thing is though if Corr had not hit the bar then it would of been game over at 3-0. (I am sure that looked over the line though)

Work sorted us out a box for the evening, we had the luxury of the odd replay during the match and they showed Corr's strike in slow motion, it was clearly over the line. 3-0 would have killed the game but those last few minutes were nervy and why we love watching football :winking:
