If there was ever a game of two halves this was it. We were pretty dismal first half but found our game 2nd half and played really well.

Nice to see Harry Cardwell back to his menacing best and although it took us awhile for some reason to wake up the 3 points are massive in ensuring our safety this season. Brilliant goal from Jack Wood and he was exceptional when he came on.

Great that Ollie scored on his 100th appearance,

The ref was absolutely bizarre with some of his decisions and it was once the oddest games i have seen regarding him.

We showed we can mix it with the best of them today but lets do it for 90 minutes not 45.

Over to you guys.

Didn't see this result coming at half time. The sending off and quick goals after that really rocked them. Fair to play to the lads for taking advantage. Amazing how games can change. :LoyalSupporter:

The textbook example for a game of two halves, the first half was awful but the second half was brilliant from us.

Yes the ref did us a massive favour with a soft red card but we've faced 10 men plenty of times in recent years and failed to do anything with the man advantage, we couldn't be accused of that today.

Hopefully we carry this confidence forwards and realise when we push forwards we do know where the net is because the overly cautious football of the first half did nothing except invite pressure on us. The second half we went for it and Aldershot couldn't cope.

Exactly that, we went for it rather than playing the safety slow boring build up team.

Massive result.

I didn't make it today. But all our 4 goals came after their sending off.

Was that really the difference or did we just up our game second half?

Well done lads. You killed the game off brilliantly.

The ref was an absolute homer though. A blatant foul on O'Keefe on the edge of our area was not given and then a similar foul on the edge of their area results in a sending off which should have been a yellow. We score from the resulting free kick and the game is turned on its head. Well taken goals by Wood and Dakkers rounded off the day well.

This should be a massive boost to our confidence as we go on to play Altrincham on Tuesday - who were well beaten by Maidenhead today.

He was like the ref you get at the last minute to help out on a Sunday morning. Pretty much stayed in the same position and pointed a bit. Brilliant,
