Breaking News Southend United staff now PAID!! (25th July)

How about a statue of some sort outside the main stand that says - “To the few. Lest we forget. And a list of their names”.
I'd prefer a statue of Ron with an appropriate sign and covered in all sorts as a constant reminder of what he did to the club and staff. He'd hate it.

Of course it’s a lot easier to pay them now the squad is half the size.
Exactly. Last summer, Kevin Maher's own little window of transfers happened as we came out of umbongo, then Ron shut that window and we got umbongo'd once again as soon as we had a nice big squad. I can see it happening again, Kev will have a small window of opportunity to get a few more players in, before thats it. Wage bill goes down over summer, everything trimmed back to enable us to begin the season.
I am sure Kev will be aware of all this, in the reality that he has to manage the squad to keep them sweet, whilst losing players.
But it did take me by suprise that we (Ron) literally relied on the fans volunteering to get a safety certificate passed. Never mind HMRC, spending money on Roots Hall so that it is fit for purpose i thought wouldve been essential for Ron.
Ron's a great juggler and cold hearted as he is, he keeps the club from going under by being a nasty so and so.
But you do feel our fortunes won't change much in the long run and thats why #martinout needs to happen.
If Ron Martin is staying, i cant see how we move forward, even if we win promotion into L2.

Except an embargo this year, due to not paying bills, will come with a 10 point deduction
