TEAM:

Southend: Belford, Gilbert, Hall, Mohsni, Grant, Timlin, Ferdinand, Martin, Phillips, Prosser, Eastwood.

Subs: Harris, Sawyer, Crawford, Barker, Coughlan.

Thoughts?

The back four will not be our strongest but pleased to see Hall and Martin starting a match together as well as Freddy fit enough to start so hopefully we will score enough not to be too bothered if Midson scores for the Wombles.

According to BBC Essex, Ferdinand will start at Right Back.

So can assume:

Belford
Ferdinand, Phillips, Prosser, Gilbert,
Hall, Timlin, Grant, Martin,
Mohsni, Eastwood

Strange that Barker on the bench, either dropped or not feeling good enough to start. Who will be skipper? Would guess Phillips or Timlin.

Not so strange. He limped off on Friday leaving us down to8 men and was presumably the player PS said he'd played though he didn't think he was fully fit.Strange back 4 though.:omg:

I reckon Grant will play right back ?

Either way, are we actually going to see two wingers at home in 442 ?

Cant see how not with that selection ?

Three changes for Blues

BLUES boss Paul Sturrock has made three changes to his starting line-up for this afternoon’s clash against AFC Wimbledon at Roots Hall.

Nice to see Martin and Hall start, and 4-4-2. Should be interesting.
