To be fair, it just doesn't sound right when women commentate on men's football. Especially during an exciting moment. The voice goes really high. They also see the game and rules slightly different. They can come out with the odd corker. One said last month that ''Both teams are defending without the ball, and attacking with it''....''It's heavy rain, and that means the ball is getting wet''.
Far be it from me to suggest accuracy, but they're laws.
Surely, David Coleman holds the record for gaffes, known as 'Colemanballs' in Private Eye.
"Juantorena opened his legs and showed his class!" Beat that, Vic!

From the sounds of it, they're long ball merchants.... punt It up to the big man up front.......if he's fit? Don''t we love playing against these kind of sides?😟 (and, of course, if it's heavy going.......). Kabongolo seems a good one to give a start to today?

Everyone’s entitled to their views on commentators, but I’ve really enjoyed the more mixed representation we see on TV these days in the studio and the mic. I can remember loads of male commentators that have got on my tits for all sorts of reasons! It didn’t have anything to do with genitalia though.
How about Neil Kelly for one !

Really sorry Beardy, but you are mistaken. Sturrock never got the chance to walk out at Wembley. He was in the boozer with the fans kilt and all. In another Ratty masterplan he was removed and Phil Brown was manager against Crewe. fielding 7 defensive players we never stood a chance. If Sturrock had managed us we would have given them a game, just like we did Orient in the semi.
I met him that day, which was the LDV (or whatever) final, not the play off
