It's interesting to see that most of the bigger teams are shifting away from 3 or 5 st the back again. Chelsea v Brighton last night an example. I believe with the players we have and at this level a 433 4231 formation would work much better. Perhaps a

Arnold
Davies kasper hobson Ralph
Neal Atkinson
Dennis murphy bridge
Dalby
Think it will be 343. Davies is apparently better going forward and is an ideal incoming if you are looking for a genuine wing back. irrespective of whats in vogue elsewhere the 343 has worked very well although it does need a couple of CMs that suit the system- Neal & Atkinson worked very well together in the role- is Atkinson fit.
also we must take the opposition into account - going after KL with three up front will go down well, reverting to one up top and four at the back for KL won't in my opinion be a good look.

Interesting re Bridge- is he fit enough to start? In a 343 or 433 would we see him more in the front three with full attacking license?

In addition to the usual 8.7% who would play without a goalkeeper (even more attack-minded than not having one on the bench), it's interesting to see there's a whopping 21.8% who think there'll be no result. Floodlight failure? A pitch invasion by the disgruntled away fan? Match-fixing scandal? Expelled from the league for financial reasons?

'Should' be a comfortable win, think Davies could do well. Kasper and Neal key players to have back. Maher actually has a bit of competition for places for first time, with hopefully a couple of new signings in attack also.

Is Murphy fit I know he had a scan on a knock he got against Yeovil any news?

Maybe there will be people listening to transistor radios and mumbling random scores like there are at Southend home games?
Funnily enough at the last game I was at a couple of lasses in front of me were looking at the first half match highlights at HT on Movistar on their phones.Although they might be there again on Friday night doubt if they'll be tuning in to SUFC on BBC Essex somehow. Suppose if I was desperate I could ask my Cambridge United supporting mate for an update on his mobile. :Winking:
