A Pre Match thread and there's us old gits comparing who's dingles have been dangling the longest. You've got to love ShrimperZone, on here anything is possible.:Hilarious:
Bloody ridiculous. Almost the worst thing in my 52 years of watching us.

Everywhere we go!!! Braintree Town Centre 4 others so far shirted up

Yeah. Nerves kicking in now.

Like many of us i see this as a bonus given our season.

But on the other hand. This is an incredible opportunity to get back to league football, absolutely huge.

COYB!!

@Strykr
Now got my ticket printed off (don't trust just having it on my phone). But doing that has, some how made it all the more real. Tension building, nerves starting to 'jangle'!!!

Feeling no pressure for this. It's an opportunity that we have managed to secure through determination and luck that other teams have faultered.
Strangely I feel our best chance is if we we go 1 down in the first half. We seem to do better when we have to fight back. Oldham will expect it to be the floodgates opening but with our recent fight back spirit and never give up attitude, I think it will rock Oldham a bit that we don't fold and die. It's like we need that kick up the arse to get going.
If we take the lead, we'll be like rabbits in headlights. Do we push on and try to increase the lead or protect the lead? No such choice when 1 0 down and fighting back is our best attribute.
We can do this!
Coyb!

I think I'd rather defend a lead than chase the game. If we score early their invincibility mindset will be shaken to the core.

Fair enough, but feel if we concede first, or even go 2 down, it's far from over. Further than perhaps Oldham will think.
I'd prefer to by 3 up at half time though 😀
Would be interesting to see Oldham reaction to not taking lead first though.

Now the hysteria of the ticket debacle is finally settling, let's move on to the actual game. We've all been somewhat sidetracked in regards to the game. I don't know if that's a good thing or bad thing in hindsight.

I've said for a long time that Oldham were a dark horse and the dangerous players they have could really hurt any team. That all come into fruition over the playoff eliminators. Garner and Fondop is an experienced and dangerous partnership up top. On paper, that looks to be the key difference between the two sides. There isn't a lot between the rest of the two respective squads.

Like FGR's, we need to try and beat them in other areas of the pitch. If KAF doesn't freeze because of the occasion, he will play a huge part on that big pitch. I honestly think our energy and fitness will play a big part. I sense Kev will stick with Parillon for 60 mins and bring Jack on later on.

Monthe is a monster in both boxes, much like Egan was. A massive game needed from Goodliffe again.

I don't know why, but I have a feeling Ralph is going to have a big game for us. Just a hunch.

Let's all just enjoy the occasion and cheer loud and proud. I can't wait and feel sick at the same time. What a time to be a shrimper. Much love to all of you fellow shrimpers out there 💙

It's funny how it all turns out, 10 games ago most on here including me wanted Maher to move on, talking about the players side ways passing it with no attacking threat.
Maher not making changes to either subs or the right tactical changes, how fickle we all are really,
All of a sudden we are one, players are fighting for each other and us fans and Maher is God 😆 🤣 😂
The joys of being a football fan 😂, for the record I was in the camp it was time for him to move on, I loved being proven wrong and actually kick myself now for doing it (a lot was in the heat of the moment after poor performances, maidenhead especially) then on the pitch at FGR I hugged him, kissed him and told him I love him 😂. It feels like it's all come together at the right time for Sunday 🦐🦐

Wish you guys absolutely nothing but the best of luck for tomorrow.

I want to watch the game but need to find a pub in Norwich showing f-ing Dazn.. - i refuse to pay £19.99 for a one off game.
Weird, the weekly pass is £15 I think, roughly the same as attending a game at roots hall.. I’ve splashed out as it is a rather special game/day!

With the likes of FGR, Carlisle (just bought that little **** from Altricham Regan Linney) and others spending money it's massively important that we do the business tomorrow, and get out of this sodding league.

It's a 50/50 game on paper but I fancy us to nick it, after our recent heroics.

All this talk of being a result us even being here is nonsense, because we may not get another chance like this in years.

Well so our part, it's now up to our players, who've proved it's in them to up their game on a big occasion .

Come of you Shrimpers!.
