Southend wages

Do you believe this?
I find it hard to believe especially next to my team, Col U, wages

Knowing our basket case of a club some are higher.

I would imagine that Oxley is the highest earner on about 2.5k per week

Ron has never been afraid to splash the cash and when I hear what some of our players have been on I'm amazed. For a league two club that is. Whether they actually get paid maybe another question and the relating tax bill also. Whether we can attract players is going to be our biggest problem, the word is out that we are a basket case club and players wont want to sign for us.

These figures are complete BS......Just like all these sites that claim to know what every squad member is on.

We don't pay the full loan wage for a start.

I'd imagine there was an element of the parent club paying some of that.

I'd also dispute the figures for Oxley and Demetriou.

Premiership clubs paying silly money to unproven youngsters is not good for football in the long term - but what do they care?

Maybe the reduced salary for relegation from League 1 for Oxley and JD was a bit more punitive than anyone imagined. - 50% pay cut.? ... probably thought no chance when they signed their contracts.

From what i know about a couple of those on that list they are not correct

I highly doubt Ralph is on that low a wage given he came in at a time when we were throwing thousands a week at everyone.

I stopped as soon as I saw Akinola on £600....stick a 1 in front of that and maybe your near the truth - if we were paying people that low no wonder they didnt perform! lol
