Sporting Life Tips......

In sporting lifes weekend tips they include Southend to win in a double with Sheffield Utd.

Although they say some complimentary bits about home etc etc they go on to say that we have 'ever so quietly crept up to fifth'.

Why does nobody realise that we had been fourth for weeks!

Keep it that way!
Stealth will only help to aid our promotion push!

An SUFC home double, hmmm an interesting bet.

The Blades SHOULD beat Rotherham but it's one of those games where other factors come into play e.g. local derby that means more to the visitors than them as well as thoughts turning to the Arsenal game midweek.

And as has been mentioned on here for the latter half of the week, we all know we're capable of sticking a few past Bury but again will it happen? Big Saturday crowd, no home goal conceded in 2005, our good run of form compared to their poor one, these are the types of days Southend United (historically) tend to frustrate! Here's hoping I'm proved wrong @ 5pm tomorrow

Great bet,

withour mean defensive streak and great faith and spirit to notch up a goal at any time and keeping going until the end we are always going to be right in with a shout the way we are playing.

as far as the match meaning more to Rotherham what a load of cobblers... and also i don't think Warnock will let their attentions to Arsenal midweek after they lost to Plymouth on Tuesday night!

It'll be 1-0 Southend, scored off Dave Challinor's backside in the 3rd minute of injury time in the second half.

After having to endure a couple of seasons at Rochdale as a turnstile operator, I reckon that if there is any backside that a goal will be scored from it will be Flitcroft. He is definately the fatter and less skilled of the 3 brothers!!!
