Steve Arnold

I doubt we will see either Arnold or Ogogo tonight but PB has to give us fans something to discuss and try to instil some hope...

I wouldn’t be overly surprised to see one on the bench…

With regards to the goalkeeping situation. I mentioned, during the summer, that whilst the Club (PB included) rate Seadon and have high hopes for him, the feeling was he needed “real” football. He has outgrown the 23’s, he needed to be playing for 3 points every week, with players whose livelihoods depending on 3 points every week.

The “plan” was for him to be out on loan, playing conference south ideally, developing his game and earning his experience elsewhere. He was seen as not number 1 material, but wasted sitting on the bench week in week out. However, we weren’t able to bring in a number 2, or a second goalkeeper to really push Arnold.

PB is happy to use Seadon in short term measures like this, but he is a downgrade (at the moment) on Arnold and the start he has made at the Club. However, if this became a long term issue, don’t be surprised to see a new keeper through the door.

One goalkeeper we initially had on a short list, but decided against, is a goalkeeper we’ve already faced this season.

Does giving Ndi a contract allow Seadon to go on loan once Arnold is fit?
