Steve Tilson

Blimey, and to think, not long ago, he was thought to have been a candidate for us.

I don’t know too much about that level but that sounds like quite a scalp.

Potentially a great move for us considering he use to run our academy and knows Ricky Duncan well. It would be good for both clubs to develop that relationship - loanees, tip-offs on players, friendlies, reserve team fixtures etc. They were the club we got our greatest ever keeper from (and apparently he's still their record transfer received at £35,000).

Didn't Barry Delf also come from there (one game v. Sheffield United) or has my brain gone?

The Butterfly effect... Should have taken his chance with Norwich City when they came begging a long time ago. Thats loyalty for ya !!!!!!!

His got some balls going to this club as this going to be very tough just to get this team out of this league, I bet he will move on by Xmas, they’ll need a big budget.

If any shrimpers are not going to Stockport this Saturday, then why not head over to Basildon United against Heybrigde Swifts, a chance to meet up and chat with Steve Tilson as he brings his Heybridge team to Gardiners lane on Saturday 9th at 3-00pm KO

Heybridge Swifts are also playing at Great Wakering Rovers tonight 7.45 KO
so a good chance for Southend fans based in Basildon and at home to go and meet up with Tilly for a chat, he always has time for the supporters
