Yes still top... what a shame..haha ... Crawley lost 3 - 0 to Swindon and gone down to 5th position...

Come on you blues.. you can do it!

The concern is a few of the passing sides are now beginning to find a way through and its those sides who seen to hammer us like Shrewsbury, Swindon and Crawley. Please don't forget for while it is good to stay on top of the table there are teams with games in hand on us and at the mo we have no daylight between ourselves and the others. With that in mind it'll be interesting to see if we can cope with the pressure of being chased and Saturday may be a good match in store as Crewe have done well tonight to see off Burton. Their new manager has done quite well since he replaced Gradi. With two points seperating 6 teams it really is biting your finger nails time already. Seen Aldershot have picked up a win tomight so could be we play them just as they are improving maybe harder against them next week compared to the potential game on Boxing day.

I understand those that say results have gone our way because we're still top. But it may well be in the long run the pressure mounts with so little between the top 6. Had Crawley and Cheltenham won yes we;d be third but we would have had a 3 or 4 point cushion to play with.

Shrewsbury have hammered us? When? Is this the same Shrewsbury we've beaten 4-2 on aggregate this season?

That's the one; a 3-0 home win and an away game that was there for the taking !

ah yes, but we're top with the points on the board. they've (swindon, crawley, et al) got the games in hand but still have to win them.

(ps - i might unashamedly have changed my view if the situation had been reversed - the joys of being afootball fan wearing blue tinted glasses)

come on you blues

Last night shows there is very little between us and Crawley. Huge, huge game when we meet.

Maybe the Shrews have lost to us on aggregate but when they played at our place they were out of sorts. We saw the real them at their ground. When they played more of a passing game.

Haven't they struggled all season away from home? Why was that Roots Hall game not the 'real' them? Sorry but just because teams lose to us, they're not out of sorts. We played very well that night. We bullied them all over the pitch and stopped them from playing.

And when we played them at their place we were out of sorts. What's your point?

They were down to ten men for most ofr the game and we still couldn't beat them. We struggle against in form passing sides and that is a good point. Ala Swindon in all 3 games against them, Crawley away, Cheltenham away etc.

Any team will struggle against another that is on top form. And haven't we won this season when reduced to 10?
