Stupid decisions

Many moons ago, so long in fact it feels like another lifetime, I went to Dover to see The Blues in a preseason friendly. Incidentally we won 1-0 and then the towns chippy gave the team food poisoning which impeded our start to the season. The ground was basically a park and during the match the ball went out for a throw to The Blues and Terry 'Terrier' Gray picked the ball up to throw and the referee awarded a free kick to Dover as he had not signalled the ball out of play. It was clearly several feet over the line before Gray picked it up and this was a 'friendly!'. Whats the daftest example of referees decisions have you seen?

Ahem, cough! How did Manchester United get a point against Spurs the other day?

If they can't keep up with play, they shouldn't be referees!

Mike "old Mother" Riley's disgraceful reluctance to punish Rio Ferdinand for blatently hauling down Ljunberg a few months ago ... and then falling for Wayne Rooney's blatent dive later in the match. Talk about a homer ...

Southend-Darlington. Darlington player injured, Southend player kicks the ball out of play. Darlington player throws the ball to Flahavan, as is the sporting thing these days.

Guess what? The Referee gave a foul throw!

Common sense gone bye-bye!
