SUFC: The Future SUFC up for sale

The development is not up for sale so I would say unlikely, what's up for sale is a debt ridden, loss making football club. Form an orderly queue everyone!

it is a really sexy assett available at a realistic/cheap price ...

any decent sports business could sweat this into a profitable enterprise .... its a prime piece of football property at all time low ...

its immediate potential is EFL League one and of course CCC is a proven to be viable ... decent leadership

great result -

Ok so some one pulled out of attempting to buy the club off Ron .Now maybe he can put his money where his mouth is And offer to take the club of Ron lock stock and barrel .

Just a ploy to get us to buy season tickets. Funny how that gaining momentum has now coincided with this announcement. Still more questions than answers, what is he selling, just the club, the stadium, part of the whole development or what?

At least all those posters on here who have said for years that nobody would buy the club will be proved right or wrong one way or the other.

not sure how this is good news really, we knew that Ron was near rock bottom, but now he's admitted it, and he's admitting it to all the other creditors and third parties that he's indebted to/connected to. At least he is admitting it and hopefully there will be interest, but there isn't going to be a long queue of people looking to pump significant funds into a NL club on life support.
There’s never been a better time to sell a National League club, thanks to Wrexham.

If he’s willing to write off the debt there will be plenty of buyers. Now, whether they are chancers or philanthropists is another matter.

just check out the agency doing the sale ...

they can do a great job on this ... they can see how valuable the club is

I get how much everyone hates Ron and rightly so. Everyone wants him to go. For him to come out and say what he has today is a massive step forward in my opinion and getting the GSE company and Moxey involved in my opinion shows he is serious about this. I dont see a negative with today - if anything it is great to hear for fans as now we know he could be gone by this summer!

They appear to have ZERO experience of SOCCUR ! Please correct me if I am wrong

Do love this forum 😂😂😂 never happy with anything. Could win the champions league and people would moan we didn’t keep a clean sheet

Happy that he's willing to listen to offers for the club, yeah for a fee that nobody will be able to afford when the club owns zero assets.

Remember on zoom, remembering that he LOVES the club, that he wants his £14/15m back that he put into the club. Horse sh%t, rent that he charged the club each year for an asset that was stripped from it.

For me this is an absolute **** press conference, literally nothing has changed and neither will it because nobody will buy the club for what he wants.

So all the talk of the stadium keeping the club self sufficient into the future. That was all a lie to get a planning for a supermarket/retail units / flats/hotel ? Oh.
What? Sorry you need to explain?
I thought it has been covered many times. The club rents the stadium- all the revenue streams from the stadium go to the club- significantly increased streams through hospitality, corporate etc.

If the new buyer bought the stadium they would avoid the rent but they would have to find x times the purchases price to buy the stadium- and if they borrowed to do it they would quite possibly be better off renting anyway.

In the end two things will happen:
1. The new owner will want to negotiate a long term basis for that rent to be calculated and the levels.
2. If the buyer has very very deep pockets and money is no object then they can buy the stadium- rest assured for the right price he will sell. He said so at the same time he said he would put the club up for sale when the new stadium was built. I doubt anything has changed.

So no comment on what the structural changes in the companies owning SUFC mean?

And if there is to be a beauty parade of buyers, does this mean the books of the mystic Mezcal are about to be revealed ?
We looked into Mezcal , albeit the paperwork was out of date but there was nothing to see there.

He's obviously desperate and in last chance saloon.........as is the football club.....and that's what worries me about this announcement.

As I read it he's starting to wipe his hands of the club and if he can't find a buyer quickly will he be willing to finance the club's debts and in particular the next payment to HMRC?

This is a critical period for the club and time is of the essence to sell otherwise administration or liquidation is likely to follow.

Let's hope he already has potential suitors in the pipeline.

The only acceptable outcome is a new owner/s buying the club now for an agreed price and then seperately purchasing the stadium and training facilities when they are finished at an agreed price in advance. The amount of money Ron gets will be determined by who wants it the most. There will be significant interest in this scenario but it will probably be below what Ron wants.
If he is trying to sell the club only then this will be a disaster and most likely end in tears.
